Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
Stock AI is built to work without knowing who you are. This policy explains the little data involved.
What we don’t collect
- No accounts, names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifiers.
- No location, contacts, photos, or other personal data from your device.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
What stays on your device
Stock AI stores a few things locally so it works offline and avoids unnecessary downloads:
- Recently downloaded picks and history.
- Your settings, such as whether notifications are on and the time you chose.
- Whether you accepted the Terms of Service, and which picks you’ve already seen.
- A temporary session token that shows our servers this is the genuine app, and on iPhone and iPad the identifier of the app’s App Attest key (see below).
Deleting the app removes this data.
What happens when the app goes online
To fetch the daily pick, the app makes requests to Stock AI’s servers, which are hosted by Netlify, Inc. Like any web server, the hosting provider may record technical information such as your IP address, device type, and the time of each request, for security and to deliver the service. We do not use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.
The app only goes online when it needs a new pick: on market days, after picks are published, and when you open the app or pull to refresh. It does not phone home on weekends or market holidays.
Our servers also keep hourly counts of requests, which contain no personal information, so we can spot abuse.
Checking that requests come from the real app
To keep the service fast and free, Stock AI’s servers answer only the genuine app. When the app connects for the first time, and every few days after that, it asks your device’s platform to vouch for it:
- Android: Google Play Integrity. Google Play services checks this copy of the app and your device, and returns an encrypted verdict, for example whether the app came from Google Play and whether the device passes Google’s integrity checks. Google describes the data it uses for this in its Play Integrity documentation and its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- iPhone and iPad: Apple App Attest. The app creates a key in your device’s secure hardware, and Apple certifies that the key belongs to the genuine Stock AI app. Our servers keep the key’s public half, so they can recognize the app’s later requests.
Our servers check the result, discard the verdict, and give the app a temporary session token that it sends with its requests. These checks don’t identify you, and we use them only to protect the service.
Notifications
Notifications are scheduled on your device by the app itself. Stock AI does not use a push notification service and never receives a device token. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
Links to other sites
News headlines link to articles on publishers’ websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave Stock AI.
Children
Stock AI is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be shown in the app.
