Privacy Policy
Offline AI · Effective October 13, 2026
Offline AI is built so that what you say stays on your phone. This policy explains exactly what that means.
The short version
- Your conversations, files and photos never leave your phone.
- Your chats, files and photos, and what you ask the AI to remember, are encrypted on your phone.
- There is no account, no sign-up and no email address.
- We don’t collect, store, sell or share any personal data. We have no servers that could receive it.
- There are no ads, analytics or tracking tools in the app.
Your conversations
The AI runs on your phone’s own processor. Everything you type, and every answer, is processed on the device and saved only in the app’s private storage, which other apps can’t read. Chats are encrypted (AES-256) with a key kept in your phone’s secure storage (the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore), so the files alone can’t be read.
Your chats are kept out of device backups: the app opts out of iCloud backup on iPhone and iPad, and out of Google backup and device-to-device transfer on Android. So no copy of your conversations ends up in the cloud. The trade-off is that chats don’t move to a new phone; they stay on the phone where they were written.
Files and photos you share
When you share a document, the app reads its text on your phone and keeps that text with the chat. When you share a photo, the app keeps a smaller copy with the chat so the AI can look at it. These copies are stored the same way as your chats (private, encrypted, not backed up) and are deleted when you delete the chat. The original files on your phone are not changed. Photo access is used only when you choose to share a photo or take one.
Memory
When you ask the AI to remember something (for example “Remember that I’m allergic to peanuts”, or your name during setup), it is saved in your phone’s secure storage: the iOS Keychain, limited to this device and never synced or backed up, or on Android, encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore. You can see, change, switch off or erase your memories at any time in the app.
The internet
The app uses the internet for one thing: downloading the AI model (“brain”) you pick, and its optional photo add-on and optional uncensored version for mature mode, over HTTPS from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), a public model library. The request contains only what’s needed to fetch the file. Like any website, Hugging Face can see your IP address while the download runs; its own privacy policy applies to that. Nothing about you, your chats, files or memories is sent.
Once a brain is downloaded, the app works without any connection.
Deleting your data
You can delete any chat (with its files), all chats, individual memories, all memories, or everything (chats, files, memories, brains and settings) from Settings → Privacy and your data and Memory. Uninstalling the app also deletes everything it stored; on iPhone, any memory left in the Keychain is erased the next time the app is installed.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and doesn’t collect data from anyone, including children. Mature mode is for adults only (18 or older), and the app never allows anything sexual involving anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the app with a new date.
