Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Offline AI mobile app (“Offline AI” or “the app”). By using Offline AI you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Offline AI is

Offline AI is a personal assistant that chats with you using an artificial intelligence (“AI”) model that runs entirely on your device. After you download a model (“brain”) once, the app works without an internet connection. You can share documents and photos with it and ask it to remember things about you.

2. AI answers can be wrong

  • Answers are generated automatically by an AI model. No human reviews them.
  • AI can make mistakes. An answer may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive or simply made up, even when it sounds confident. Check anything important with a reliable source.
  • The AI cannot browse the internet and does not know about recent events.
  • When you share a long document, the AI may read only parts of it.

3. Not professional advice

Offline AI is not a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, therapist or any other professional, and nothing it says is medical, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Do not rely on it for decisions about your health, safety, money or legal matters. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

4. Mature mode (18+)

Mature mode is off unless you turn it on. Turn it on only if you are at least 18 years old and adult content is legal where you are. In mature mode the AI answers frankly about adult topics and may write explicit sexual content, strong language and other material some people find offensive. It may use an uncensored version of its brain, which you choose to download. You are responsible for what you ask for and for how you use the answers. One rule always applies, and the app enforces it: nothing sexual involving anyone under 18. Like all answers, mature mode’s are generated on your device: nobody reviews them and we never see them.

5. Your data stays on your device

Your conversations, the files you share and the things the AI remembers are stored only on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not receive, store or have access to them. You are responsible for your device and for keeping it secure, and for the content you choose to share with the app. Deleting the app deletes this data; we cannot recover it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Offline AI lawfully and responsibly. You will not use it to:

  • break any law or infringe anyone’s rights, including by sharing documents or photos you have no right to use;
  • create content that harasses, threatens, defames or exploits anyone, or that sexualises minors;
  • plan or carry out violence, fraud or other harm;
  • reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.

You are responsible for how you use the AI’s answers.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Offline AI. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Mature mode is only for people aged 18 or older.

8. Downloads

The AI models are downloaded from a third-party model library over the internet and are provided under their own open-source licenses. Downloads use your data plan and storage; a Wi-Fi connection is recommended.

9. Intellectual property

The app’s software, design, characters and original content belong to its developer or its licensors. Open-source components are used under their licenses, listed in the app. Text the AI writes for you is yours to use, subject to these Terms and the law.

10. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue Offline AI, or any part of it, at any time. Features may differ between devices, and some devices may not have enough memory to run every brain.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

OFFLINE AI IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ITS ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER OF OFFLINE AI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE APP OR ITS ANSWERS. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, IF ANY.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of Offline AI from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the app, the content you share with it, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. If a change is material, the app will ask you to review and accept the Terms again before you continue using it.

15. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the developer about Offline AI. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Failing to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
