Terms of Service for Convertly

These terms apply when you use Convertly. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Convertly.

1. What Convertly is

Convertly converts amounts between currencies, including Bitcoin, using exchange rates it fetches from third-party services. It keeps the conversions you save, your favourite currencies and your settings on your device. How the app handles information is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Rates are for information only

Rates come from third-party providers and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. They are reference rates: the rate a bank, card issuer, exchange office or crypto exchange gives you will usually differ, often after fees.

Convertly is not a financial service. It does not exchange money, hold funds, connect to accounts or process payments, and nothing in it is financial, investment or tax advice. Check the rate with your provider before you rely on it for a transaction.

3. Your license

Convertly is free. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows you to.

4. Using the app fairly

Use Convertly lawfully. Don’t try to overload, scrape or misuse the services the app connects to, or get around any limits they set.

5. Third-party services

To work, the app contacts a currency-rate service, a Bitcoin price service and, if you open a map, the OpenStreetMap tile service. They are named in the Privacy Policy. We don’t control them, so we can’t promise they will always be available or accurate, and their own terms apply to them.

6. Your data

Everything you save in Convertly stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t restore it if it’s lost.

7. Changes

We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature, and we may update these terms. When the terms change, we’ll change the effective date above, and material changes will be mentioned in the app’s release notes on Google Play. If you keep using Convertly after a change, the updated terms apply.

8. No warranty

Convertly is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its rates will be accurate or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the app or relying on its rates, including decisions about money you make based on them. Because Convertly is free, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
